Kings Cross - Spaces In Waiting

Kings cross, Semester 1 Final Project Site Visit - 26/10/09.
The nerves and excitement of getting to see the site of where our final project of semester 1 was to be set was setting in. Our Site visit was mainly used to walk around Kings Cross, and absorb its culture and the environment, before moving along the canal to our site.

Year 2 Landscape Architecture started off with a bang, after hearing the great news of the field trip to Barcelona!
Hoping for better weather, and the prospect of seeing great landscape landmarks was the main agenda for everyone.

Liverpool/Manchester Trip February 2009

Liverpool Trip
We spent 4 days in liverpool, looking at landscape landmarks. Our final project of the year was also based in New Brighton, Liverpool.
we explpored the area and took many pictures, of what could have been our chosen site of a proposed idea.

South Bank 25/11/08

  • Location: south bank
  • site visit done as part of our 3rd project
  • this was a different landscape to the previous ones visited, as it is mainly concrete and hard materials. very little nature is involved in this lanscape.

Walk to Staines Reservoir 23/10/1008

  • Location: staines Reservoir
  • We visited the reservoir on a cold and wet day, as a part of our 'epic space' project
  • it was another chance to get to know everyone

  • we explored the park near the reservoir as the second part to our project.

A Walk Through Guildford

  • Location : Guildford
  • On our 4 day boat trip; We went for a walk in Guildford, taking pictures of areas as we walked through the space.
It was a good bonding time for the class. it made everyone feel more comfortable approaching one anotherThe long walk back to the narrowboats
